Farmingville

Located in the heart of Long Island, 50 miles east of New York City, Farmingville is a hamlet in the Town of Brookhaven and is included in the Nassau-Suffolk metropolitan area. Originally inhabited by the Algonquian-speaking Native Americans, the area attracted early English settlers in the mid 1600s. Nearby attractions include the Long Island Museum, the County Fair Entertainment Park, the beautiful Smith Point Park Beach, Atlantis Marine World Aquarium, Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk and Fire Island National Seashore. There are plenty of activities and things to do in this town of 17,000 - take a trip to the American Airpower Museum, visit the Adventureland Amusement Park or plan an entire day at Splish Splash Water Park; the possibilities are endless. Today, Farmingville is known for its diverse cultures, numerous places of interest, rich heritage and scenic surroundings.
